چکیده

A new sufficient condition for photons emitted near future null infinity to reach is derived by studying geodesics in the Bondi coordinates asymptotically flat spacetimes. In our previous works [M. Amo et al., Phys. Rev. D 104, 064025 (2021).; M. 105, 064074 (2022).], such a was established outward or tangential directions constant radial surfaces. This paper improves result including inward directions. four dimensions, imposing same assumptions on metric functions as previously, we prove that if their initial values of $|dr/du|$ are smaller than certain quantity, where $r$ and $u$ retarded time coordinates, respectively. quantity determined asymptotic properties connected conjectured maximal luminosity. higher with $dr/du>\ensuremath{-}(1\ensuremath{-}1/\sqrt{3})\ensuremath{\approx}\ensuremath{-}0.423$ shown without functions.

Taub numbers at future null infinity : III . The Bondi mass

This work extends the ideas developed in two previous papers by the authors. Firstand second-order perturbation solutions of Einstein’s equations (in Newman–Penrose form) for the Bondi–Sachs metric are found on a background Minkowski manifold. These solutions allow a tensorial calculation of the Bondi mass using the Taub superpotential. PACS numbers: 0425N, 0440N

The Positive Mass Theorem near Null Infinity

The definition of the total energy-momentum at spatial infinity was given by Arnowitt-Desser-Misnerfor in asymptotically flat spacetimes [1]. The positivity of the ADM mass was proved by Schoen and Yau in a nontrivial isolated physical system which satisfies the dominant energy condition [16, 17, 18]. Later it was proved by Witten using spinors [22]. The positive mass theorem plays a fundamenta...

Light Cone Structure near Null Infinity of the Kerr Metric

Motivated by our attempt to understand the question of angular momentum of a relativistic rotating source carried away by gravitational waves, in the asymptotic regime near future null infinity of the Kerr metric, a family of null hypersurfaces intersecting null infinity in shearfree (good) cuts are constructed by means of asymptotic expansion of the eikonal equation. The geometry of the null h...

On Uniqueness of Kerr Space-time near null infinity

We re-express the Kerr metric in standard Bondi-Saches’ coordinate near null infinity I+. Using the uniqueness result of characteristic initial value problem, we prove the Kerr metric is the only asymptotic flat, stationary, axial symmetric, Type-D solution of vacuum Einstein equation. The Taylor series of Kerr space-time is expressed in terms of B-S coordinates and the N-P constants have been ...

Evolution of the Einstein Equations to Future Null Infinity

We describe recent progress with a formulation of the Einstein equations on constant mean curvature surfaces extending to future null infinity. Long-time stable numerical evolutions of an axisymmetric gravitationally perturbed Schwarzschild black hole have been obtained. Here we show how matter can be included in our formulation. We study late-time tails for the spherically symmetric Einstein– ...
